Friends,
For those of you signing up for my Substack newsletter here, I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything since 2021. As you probably know by now, my life went a complete 360-degree turn. I had to step back, re-evaluate everything that I held dear. Writing helped me retain my sanity and made me feel like there was still a life worth living.
Writing books for myself meant that I had to find a way to get them published and self-publishing which I had been fairly successful with since 2019 came to my rescue. As we all know, the pandemic years were not good for traditional publishing.
One of the reasons why I stopped sending out newsletters from here was because I had to shift to a more professional email marketing provider and I chose mailerlite. So my monthly newsletters do come from there, instead of here.
There are various reasons for that. It’s mostly to do with increasing my subscriber list and creating a market for my writing. However, maybe I can juggle a little here and a little there too, I realised. You guys are after all my OG subscribers (That’s how I’ve named the substack subscribers in my mailerlite mailing list!)
If you want to receive a monthly newsletter from me with news of my books, and links to free books (thanks to Bookfunnel), do subscribe here. However, I might still send out something from here too.
My newsletters are always conversational but I know that you guys signed up here because you really do want to hear from me.
Anyway, here’s something I want to share. If you follow me on social media, you probably know by now that I’ve been talking about my Jasmine Villa series. My first self-published series was acquired by Westland last year and the books were published in their paperback glory in February.
The books look amazing and while I might be partial because I’m the writer, I have to admit, they really do make a gorgeous set.
Also, for those of you who are in Bangalore, there’s a book launch happening this Friday at Blossom Bookhouse on Church Street at 6.30 pm. And Anuja Chauhan is launching the series! I’m a HUGE fan of Anuja’s so this is indeed an honour!
So do drop by! I’m sure it will be an amazing event, although I’m not sure how much I’ll really say about my books, given that I will be fangirling over Anuja a lot.
Hopefully, it won’t be another two years until I write here again! See you soon!
This has been a long, long break!
Hi Andy,
It's been some time since I last read your books. It must be Twenty Nine Going on Thirty, or the horror book, I don't recall the name. I have some catching up to do. I visited andaleebwajid.com to get a bibliography of your books. It redirected me here. This too doesn't have a list of your books. Is there any page that lists all your books?
BTW, I tuned in to your chat with Anuja, unfortunately the audio wasn't loud enough on my laptop so I couldn't follow the entire chat. All the best for your Jasmine Villa series.
